SHAGUR connects daily Torah learning with short quizzes. Your Today page shows the quizzes scheduled for the tracks you follow, so you can review what you learned while it is still fresh.

Use My Tracks to choose what appears in your daily learning. Chumash & Rashi, Daily Tanya, and the Rambam schedules follow the calendar. Mishnah is self-paced.

Browse whenever you want

Browse lets you take published quizzes outside the daily schedule. Those completions are still recorded in your quiz history and progress.

For calendar-based tracks, however, a quiz only earns streak credit when it satisfies that track's scheduled learning requirement for the study date. Mishnah is different: because it is self-paced, your quiz activity itself drives its streak.

How streaks work

A streak measures consistent learning, not your quiz score. Complete the required learning on qualifying days to keep the streak moving. My Progress shows your overall streak as well as streaks for supported individual tracks.

Shabbat (Shabbos) and Diaspora Yom Tov have special catch-up rules for calendar-based tracks. Eligible learning from the day before and the protected period can be completed during the catch-up window afterward. Follow the recovery prompts on Today. Catch-up learning credits its assigned study date; it does not also complete today's separate requirement.

Mishnah works differently because it is self-paced. To keep a Mishnah streak, you do not need to learn on Friday, Shabbos, or Yom Tov.

Changing which tracks you follow changes your Today page; it does not erase your learning history or pause existing streak rules.

Streak Saves

When you miss a day, you decide whether to use a Streak Save to protect your streak. SHAGUR never spends your saves automatically.

For signed-in learners, Today offers a save when a missed required learning day threatens an existing streak. Any applicable catch-up opportunity comes first: completing that learning in time avoids using a save. Optional days and days with no required learning need no save.

After the applicable catch-up window closes, or after the missed day ends if there is no catch-up window, you have three eligible decision days. Shabbat and Diaspora Yom Tov do not count toward those three days; Friday counts unless it is Yom Tov. Today shows the exact deadline and your account's timezone. This gives you extra time to decide about a save, not extra time to complete a catch-up quiz.

Choose Use Streak Saves to approve the displayed cost, Let Streaks End to decline without spending, or Decide later to return before the same deadline. Your previous streak length stays visible as At risk while you decide, and you can keep learning. Quiz results and best streaks stay recorded even if you decline.

Your tracks share one balance. One save can protect multiple eligible streaks affected by the same missed date, including your overall streak when needed. Different missed dates each require a separate save. Today lists the affected streaks and the total cost before you approve. Completing another qualifying track may already keep your overall streak going while a missed track still needs protection.

A save preserves an existing streak; it does not count as completing a quiz, add a learning day, or increase the streak by itself. It cannot restart a streak that has already ended.

Earn one save at 7, 30, and 60 counted learning days across your tracks. Each study date counts once, even if you complete several quizzes. After 60, earn another save for every 30 additional counted learning days while you hold fewer than three saves. You can hold at most three. A streak break does not reset your progress toward earning saves. Learning while your balance is full is not banked toward another save.

Learning days count toward earning saves after the day ends and any applicable catch-up windows or earlier save decisions are resolved. If you do not have enough saves immediately, you can still use saves you earn before the decision deadline. Learning while a decision is pending may not earn a save in time, so check the balance and cost on Today before approving.

Once the decision window expires, that missed streak cannot be recovered using a save. No save is spent when the window expires, and earning a save later does not reopen it.

My Progress

My Progress shows your current and best streaks, progress by track, recent activity, milestones, scores, and quiz history. Activity is recorded on the day you finish a quiz; streak credit can belong to a different study date when you are completing eligible scheduled learning.

Why sign in?

You can use SHAGUR without an account. In that case, your progress is stored on that device. When you are signed in, verified quiz completions, streaks, Streak Saves, and your track choices are connected to your account so they can follow you across devices.

Anonymous results are kept separate from account history, so sign in before learning on multiple devices if you want one synced record.
